Flowpack film is a flexible packaging material specifically designed for use in flowpack machines. These machines form, fill and close the packaging in one continuous movement, resulting in a tight and secure packaging around the product. This can be done both vertically and horizontally. Flowpack packaging is particularly popular in the food industry, but is also used for a wide range of non-food products.

Deep draw film is used in a thermoform process where the film is heated and formed into trays or other packaging. This process is ideal for packaging a wide range of products, usually in a larger quantity. A characteristic feature of thermoformable films is their high degree of formability and ability to create a strong, protective barrier. Both hard and soft bottom and top films are available.

This technique is relatively new in the packaging industry and is used to package a wide range of products, such as meat, fish, cheese and ready meals. This method is characterised by vacuum sealing the product against a film or tray, with the skin film forming tightly around the product, as if it were a second skin. This packaging technique not only provides an excellent barrier against oxygen and moisture, significantly extending the product’s shelf life, but also provides an attractive product presentation that emphasises visual appeal and the feeling of freshness.
