CPET/RPET

CPET (Crystallized PET) is designed for higher heat resistance: -40°c to 220°.c
May be put in the freezer as well as the oven.

Available in various opaque colours and evolve.

Properties of CPET:

  • Food safety: Like APET, CPET is approved for direct food contact, making it a safe choice for a wide range of food products.
  • Durability and Strength: CPET is strong and offers good barrier properties, effectively protecting contents from external influences such as oxygen and moisture.
  • Recyclability:CPET is 100% circularly recyclable, which can ensure a closed loop in the packaging industry.

Applications of CPET:

CPET’s unique properties make it highly suitable for applications where packaging is exposed to extreme temperatures:

  • Ready-to-eat meals: CPET is a popular choice for packaging meals that can be reheated in the oven or microwave, such as lasagne, stews and other prepared meals.
  • Frozen foods: Because of its freezer resistance, CPET is also used for packaging frozen foods, including meat, fish, vegetables and ready-to-eat dishes.
  • Bakery products: For packaging products that need to be baked or reheated in the pack, such as sandwiches, cakes and pizzas.
